About JakobTech

Free audio plugins for musicians, made in Canada.

JakobTech started in 2025 as a boutique audio electronics maker. Today we focus on software: instruments and effects that load in your DAW as CLAP or VST3 plugins.

Our first plugin, PD-101, recreates the phase-distortion sound of Casio's classic CZ synths. More are on the way.

What we stand for

Three rules

  1. 01

    Free to use

Every plugin is free to download and use in your music, with no account and no licence key.

  2. 02

    Built in the open

Beta plugins ship early so you can play them sooner. Your bug reports and ideas shape each release.

  3. 03

    Made by musicians

We make the tools we want to play: classic sounds, honest controls, and no menus in the way.
